  Annemasse to Saint-Gervais
Our train at waits for passengers at Annemasse.
Our train at waits for passengers at Annemasse. The Evian-Culoz train is pulling in alongside. In the background is a Saint Gervais-Annemasse pulling in.

This activity is still under development but there's a test version available for download.

You're in charge of CC6539 taking a local TER service from Annemasse to Saint-Gervais. webTrainSim began trialling with a Z20900 trainset so it'll appear in some pictures.

Remember to sound the horn at each level crossing!

This activity has been compiled into a zip file with Route Riter so you can see what you're files you need to install.

To download, see here.

Annemasse station.
Our destination - the mountains.
At Marignier we cross a Saint-Gervais to Annemasse train.
At Cluses - not far to go!
We have to wait for a clear line. Even after this train, we have to still wait.
May as well have a look around.
You know it's been a long wait when we have to check the signals for oncoming traffic. A good sign, though - things are happening.
Even a better sign - can't be long now.
A green on the other track is even better news.
  Rolling stock
We've arrived at Saint-Gervais. On the left, a tram is waiting to continue the trip.

The following rolling stock is available from a number of sources.

The only loose consists, if any, are of the webTrainSim boxcars, readily available from webTrainSim downloads.

If you use ConBuilder to substitute your own rolling stock, be careful to keep the train lengths roughly the same as the original (i.e., don't increase a train length from, say, 50 wagons, to 100 wagons). Apart from perhaps not fitting on a siding, train speed will change with a heavier load and you could spend longer at any reds.

From Henry Verpiot's site (1) at the bottom of the page:

  • RER trams, Rer_Bem550.zip (25-Nov-03, 2.8Mb)

From Henry Verpiot's site (2), as per order on the page. Note that Henry has Trainsim as his root folder for MSTS. Therefore all his downloads require manually creating a folder for the particular piece of rolling stock and then extracting the files from the zips.

From theTrain.de. You won't see the file name until you click on Download (size) so the name used in theTrain listing is given first. The locos can be downloaded from the Downloads area under Electric_Engines/Switzerland/SBB and the carriages from the Downloads area under Passenger_cars/Switzerland/Unsort.

  • Re 4/4 loco pack SBB/SOB with cabview: SBB_Re440_&_SOB_446.zip (18-Oct-03, 20.461Mb). Note spaces in suggested folder name plus that "&" - webTrainSim changed the folder name to SBB_Re440_SOB_446 so MSTS wouldn't get upset. Re 446 Tesa needs some fixes to its ENGine file so see Small fixes 15 - Re 446 Tesa for those.
