Shelby to Whitefish Hotshot Freight

You will be taking a hotshot freight from Shelby to Whitefish. web•TrainSim has finished completely testing this activity - he's done one run before allowing a top speed of 74 mph - but it should be ok for some excitement. You'll be taken into a couple of sidings at various places where the speed is restricted to 15 mph. Maybe later the pressure can be applied where you have to stop and drop off a couple of boxcars.

Included in the download zip file is a zip containing the web•TrainSim hotshot freight car which has been altered from the original from Type ( Freight ) to Type ( Carriage ) so you can drive up to a maximum speed of 74 mph, as dictated by the Dash 9's maximum speed.

As is usual, web•TrainSim has been testing in various weather conditions for variety.

This activity has been compiled into a zip file with Route Riter so you can see what you're files you need to install.

Rolling stock

All the following rolling stock is available from the Train-sim.com library. Hopefully web•TrainSim is correct with the Superliner coaches; check with ConBuilder and then use it to substitute other model Superliners if you receive any errors.

There are some loose consists of the web•TrainSim boxcars, but you can use ConBuilder to substitute your choice of rolling stock in running consists. Be careful, however, to keep the train lengths roughly the same as the original (i.e., don't increase a train length from, say, 50 wagons, to 100 wagons). Apart from perhaps not fitting on a siding, train speed will change with a heavier load and you could spend longer at any reds.
