U79 service Meiderich to Oberbilk
 |
| We've just started at Meiderich for our rostered U79 service to Oberbilk. |
webTrainSim is adapting the original activity and so far has added some more traffic and has reached Kesselsberg where he missed a clear signal! Back to the drawing board.
There are some messages that have very roughly been translated - and interpreted in meaning! It appears there's some extra work to do at Wittlauer so testing will continue. This is a rough translation of the messages (using Altavista and a bit of intuition):
- Message 0 at start of activity: The brakes on the rear car don't seem to be working correctly.
- Message 1: The service people inform you that the rear car will have to be uncoupled at the stop near the Grunewald depot. For safety reasons, do not exceed 50 km/hr.
- Message 2 at Grunewald stop: Uncouple the rear car within the stop range and continued you their travel
- Message 3: The Rheinbahn operating centre informs you that because of an expected number of people requiring transport that you are to pick up another car at Wittlauer.
- Message 4 at Wittlauer: Move up after the stop, watching your Track Monitor until the reverse point disappears. The switch into the siding will then be set so you can reverse in and couple up to the extra car that's waiting there. Continue your rostered service.
The wintry snow in the pictures below was set using Kosmos. Brrr...
webTrainSim version: Take your tram over the complete length of U79, north to south, from Meiderich to Oberbilk. You will be required to reverse into the siding at Wittlauer for a service check. After this check, you may have to wait for services running behind you before you can resume on the main track. webTrainSim has added plenty of traffic and is yet to do a test.
