Italian Railways Rolling Stock
The list so far has been compiled from rolling stock required for one of the first activities for the Via Trenomania AV route.
When first compiling this list, web•TrainSim was using the readme that accompanied the Via Trenomania activity pack, vtact.zip, which referred to trenomania.it from which to download. After looking around, another site that also have most of the same rolling stock is www.allfreenet.it/train-simulator/.

Notes:
- (1): The E656 is a Bo-Bo-Bo articulated loco. web•TrainSim found that the Serie 1* didn't render correctly, so he settled on E656.041. Note, as per the readme, in your consist you need the "b" engine file as well to complete the loco in its true articulated format. There are loco consists installed so check each in MSTS in Explore Mode for correct rendering.
- (2): requires the E402b cab and Suono Italiano sound set.
- (3): web•TrainSim downloaded this E656 version when he was having problems with the E656 V5 pack locos until he read the readme under note (1) above.
- (4): E444.075 has its own cab installed as part of the installation.

Trainsets
Notes:
- (1): also available as download fsale801.zip (3.9Mb, 27-Apr-02) from Train-sim.com
- (2): requires the ETR 450 cab and Suono Italiano sounds. The installer program sets up two trainsets, FS ETR 401 standard and FS ETR 401 Argento, each in its own folder.
- (3): requires the ETR 480 cab (see cab section above) and Suono Italiano sounds. See ETR 480 install folder & cab for some tips.
