Aliasing - folder & file names

This page is more of a reminder for web•TrainSim where he's placed various sound and cab alias files - the sub-folder name under Common.Cab or Common.Snd and the CVF and SMS file names. Note he's changed some folder and file names to make everything a little more consistent; e.g., the folder name corresponds to the CVF file name.

Not every aliased cab and sound folder is listed here - just the ones web•TrainSim needs to use when he installs various locos and trainsets.

Cabviews

You should download cabalias.zip from Train-sim.com to save you some work and give you access to aliased cabs for locos of the same model as the default MSTS locos.

Note that all sub-folders below are under the folder, Common.Cab.

Sounds

Some of the sound sets listed below have been included in Common.Snd because, after downloading, web•TrainSim has realised they have a use in several locos or class of locos; examples include the EMD 645 and the SD70 EMD 710 engine sounds.
