SydWest (Sydney West) route

Departing Richmond.

The route is 40 kilometres of Sydney's suburban system set in western Sydney, from Seven Hills to Richmond.

Trains on Sydney's system are operated by CityRail and there are MSTS models of S-sets and V-sets by Chris Jennings and a Tangara set by Ben Shields available from the Train-sim.com library: S-Set, ssetce13.zip (7Mb, 03-Jul-03), Tangara set, tangara.zip (1.1Mb, 12-Jul-02), and V-Set, vset14.zip (6.7Mb, 03-Jul-03). Note that Ben's activities assume you've installed the Tangara set in a folder named AU_Tangara; web•TrainSim got himself out of trouble by copying his Tangara folder to a new AU_Tangara folder.

After some problems with the first release of the route, Ben re-released the route on his own site and at the Train-sim.com library in download file, sydw151r.zip (15.5Mb, 06-Oct-03).

For a correct installation, the SydWest route requires the six default MSTS routes (easily organised if you're a Train Store user) and XTracks version 3.7 (available from Train-sim.com in download file, xtracks.zip, 28-Jul-03,3.6Mb, now with its own installer to make life easier).
