MARC Washington to Baltimore on the NEC

Ahead of our MARC HHP-8, Amtrak services depart Washington Union.

This activity is still under development. For a reason not yet known, just as our train approaches the end of the platform when getting underway, MSTS objects with a Failed to initialise car <200029> RigidBody message.

After the troubles with the Philadelphia to Baltimore activity, web•TrainSim thought the smaller distance between these Washington and Baltimore would get around the lack of co-operation from the MSTS AI dispatcher.

The activity will use much the same ideas for Philadelphia to Baltimore, namely make use of the multi-track sections to have the MARC stop-all-station trains and Amtrak stop-some-stations on the outside tracks and Amtrak expresses running the inner tracks.

Rolling stock

To our far left, that Trinity Rail Express is actually the MARC service to Baltimore on the CSX sub.
