• <22-Apr-2007>: A new version of the Whitefish route, some rolling stock, a new version of Route Riter, and some Live Maps collections make up today's news snippets:

  • The following are available from the Train-sim.com library:
    • The Whitefish 8 route by Rene: wf8rte.zip (99Mb, 07-Apr-2007). If you're having any niggling problems, see this post on the forums.
    • ATSF Seligman Sub add-on for those with the ATSF Seligman route installed: meteor.zip (1.6Mb, 18-Apr-2007).
    • Pack list for Amtrak activities so you can put together prototypical Amtrak consists: rsc_amtk.zip (16kb, 04-Apr-2007).
    • Amtrak California Trainset by Nick George and others: amcalset.zip (12Mb, 17-Apr-2007).
    • Kansas City Southern Retro Belle liveried ES44AC loco no. 8799 by Matt Flocack: kcsm4679.zip (2Mb, 13-Apr-2007).
    • Matt has a collection of GE and EMD sound sets on his download page (members.trainorders.com/mc5725/pages/mcsounds.htm), including sounds for the ES44AC above.
  • Mike Simpson has upgraded Route Riter to version 7 as a trial version so that this new version works under both Windows XP and Windows Vista: RRit7_0_11beta.zip (1.0Mb, 18-Apr-2007)
  • Live Maps collections:

• <07-Apr-2007>: The Train-sim.com library has Dwight Mitchells generic SD70M and SD60M cabs (desktop versions): sd70mcb.zip, (6.5Mb, 02-Apr-2007) and sd60mcb.zip, (3.9Mb, 02-Apr-2007), with the CVF files in download 60-70cvf.zip (260kb, 05-Apr-2007).

  • Seen in the Train-sim.com library:
    • Dorset Coast Route version 4, with patches to update to version 4.1 to fix problems. A good reference to read before you start is the UKTrainsim Dorset Coast Questions and Answers page, noting this page is dated March 2006 but the FAQs at the bottom of the page may be of assitance. There are some screenshots, also towards the bottom of the page. You need to firstly install UKFinescale (16.1Mb, 20-Mar-2005). Dorset Coast version 4 files are in: dorset41.zip (28Mb, 31-Mar-2007), dorset42.zip (28Mb, 31-Mar-2007), dorset43.zip (28Mb, 31-Mar-2007) and dorset44.zip (26Mb, 31-Mar-2007). The patch files are in: dorstp41.zip (5Mb, 31-Mar-2007), dorstp42.zip.zip (6Mb, 31-Mar-2007) and dorstp43.zip (2Mb, 31-Mar-2007).
    • Michael Stephan's Great Northern Hi-Line route (Marias 4) version 3 is in files gnhi_3_1.zip (44Mb, 17-Mar-2007) through gnhi_3_6.zip (55Mb, 17-Mar-2007), with an update in gnhi_301.zip (3.1Mb, 23-Mar-2007). Michael has documentation for his route in gnhidoc3.zip (940kb, 17-Mar-2007). Michael's Great Northern Hi-Line site is at www.gnpaintshed.de.vu.
    • Dick Cowen has numerous reskinning kits.
    • Michael Bridgwood has contributed a number of collections of documentation on activity works orders, briefings and timetables for all activities associated with various routes.
