• <11-Jun-2007>: Here are some models, MSTS addons and theory that webDotTrainSim has noticed lately in the Train-sim library:

  • Peter Harvey has modelled another U.K. loco, LNER Class A3 Enterprise 4480, 4480a3v2.zip (2.7Mb, 04-Jun-2007).
  • Nick George is the author of a Chicago Metra trainset, ch-metra.zip (12Mb, 06-Jun-2007), which includes EMD F59PHI loco (with cab and custom sounds) and carriages.
  • Dwight Mitchell has a number of cabs:
    • Generic GP-9r upgrade, gp9rcab1.zip (20.9Mb, 28-May-2007)
    • Generic GP-7r upgrade, gp7rcab1.zip (14Mb, 28-May-2007)
    • Generic GG1, gg1cab.zip (6.7Mb, 09-Jun-2007)
    • Generic Fairbanks-Morese C-Liner, clcab.zip (5.5Mb, 09-Jun-2007)
  • A new route is the Neighbourhood Route, neighrte.zip (19Mb, 21-May-2007), by Sanford Mace. There's also a trolley, nhstndin.zip (5Mb, 21-May-2007).
  • On the theory side and an aid to setting MSTS ENGine file parameters, Joe Realmute has produced a thorough and detailed tutorial on electric locomotive and EMU traction, elec_tut.zip (2.9Mb, 24-May-2007).
  • And there's more theory in the Train-sim forums in a post titled Maximum Brake Force Values in relation to freight wagons, both U.S. and European.

At UKTrainSim you can download the June 2007 issue of Train Sim Monthly. As well as the June edition, the first edition for May 2007 is available from BucksTS.
